We understand that there can be many expenses for you as a tenant at the beginning of your rental period, which is why, as a standard, you do not need to pay any deposit when renting through us. Here is all the information you need to understand how it works:
- What does deposit-free mean?
- Do you qualify for renting deposit free?
- Damages and compensation
- To sum it up
What does deposit-free mean?
To make the rental market more accessible, we offer the possibility to rent without having to pay any deposit. By signing rental agreements through Qasa, you don't need to put up a large sum of money upfront; instead, you will simply be invoiced for any damages when you move out.
Please note that you need to have an approved credit check to be eligible for deposit-free rent (except for vacation rentals, which are always deposit-free).
Do you qualify for renting deposit free?
To rent deposit-free, you need to undergo an approved credit check (a micro-credit check that does not affect your credit rating). It is automatically conducted when you sign the rental agreement unless you have already applied for it yourself before entering the agreement (see your settings).
A Swedish ID is required.
If the credit check is not approved, or if we are unable to perform a credit check (e.g. because you don't have a verified Swedish ID), you will need to pay a deposit equal to one month's rent.
The deposit will be held in a secure escrow account during the rental period and will be refunded after the rental period ends provided everything is in good condition. The invoice for the deposit will be sent by our partner, Billecta, and the deposit must be paid before gaining access to the property.
Damages and compensation
If damage occurs during the rental period, you may be liable for compensation if the landlord is entitled to it. We will only invoice you for the actual cost of the damage if it were to happen.
To sum it up
- Renting through Qasa gives you the opportunity to rent without paying a deposit.
- An approved credit check is required for deposit-free rent.
- If the credit check is not approved, you will need to pay a deposit equal to one month's rent before gaining access to the property.
