Do you need to adjust something in your rental agreement? Depending on whether the agreement is already signed or not, the process looks a little different. Here we explain how to proceed.
Before the rental agreement is signed
When you are in the conversation with the tenant and creating the draft of the rental agreement, you can edit almost all content yourself.
Make changes yourself: The landlord can adjust the rental period, rent amount, and special conditions directly in the tool before sending it for signing.
Step-by-step: Go to the conversation with the tenant –> the rental agreement –> edit.
Incorrect address? If the address of the home is incorrect, you cannot change this yourself. Contact our customer service via chat or create a ticket and we will help you correct it within a few minutes.
Here you can read about how a correct termination is made as a landlord, and as a tenant.
After the rental agreement is signed
Once both parties have signed the agreement, it is a legally binding document. Some changes you can make yourself, while others require assistance from us.
What you can do yourself
Change the end date or terminate the agreement:
Go to qasa.com —> Menu —> My leases —> Details —> Terminate agreement.
Note: If you only want to adjust the end date, you still perform a termination to the new date. Both parties must sign the termination/change digitally for it to be valid.
What you need help with
The following changes must be administered by Qasa's customer support:
Adjustment or increase of the rent.
Change of start date.
Editing of paragraphs (e.g., what is included in the rent, furnishing, etc.).
How a change works (step-by-step)
For us at Qasa to be able to implement changes in a signed agreement, a written agreement between the landlord and tenant is required.
Communicate: Talk to your counterparty in the chat on Qasa and agree on the change.
Contact support: Create a ticket for our support. Attach a screenshot of your agreement and clearly describe what should be changed.
Signing: Qasa prepares an addendum/amendment. Both parties then sign this digitally.
Update: When the signing is complete, we update the system and ensure that future invoices are correct.
Important: No changes to the system or invoices are made until both parties have signed the change. However, we can terminate an agreement if one party has submitted documentation proving a correctly served termination according to the notice period.
