Blocket Bostad is becoming Qasa – but everything will continue to work just as before. Your account, conversations, listings, and rental agreements will automatically transfer, and you’ll log in as usual with your Vend login. The only difference is that you’ll find us at qasa.com instead of bostad.blocket.se. This change enables us to focus even more on creating a safe, seamless, and improved experience for both landlords and tenants.
I. The change in general
What’s changing – and when will it happen?
Blocket x Qasa, often referred to as Blocket Bostad, is now becoming Qasa. Starting Tuesday, October 21, you’ll automatically use Qasa instead of Blocket x Qasa. Everything else – your account, your listings, and your settings – will continue exactly as before.
Why are you making this change?
Together, Blocket and Qasa have been working since 2019 to offer a safe, smooth, and transparent rental service. We’ve long been part of the same group, Vend (formerly Schibsted), and have jointly managed Blocket Bostad. Now we’re bringing everything together under one brand – Qasa – so we can focus entirely on developing an even better experience for everyone renting or renting out a home.
What happens to Blocket x Qasa and the partnership with Blocket?
Blocket x Qasa will continue as before, just under the Qasa brand. Listing exposure, functionality, and pricing remain the same. We’re not ending our partnership with Blocket – in fact, we’re deepening it. Our integrations and collaborations will continue exactly as before. The website will look and work the same; the only visible change is that you’ll now see Qasa’s logo and colors instead of Blocket’s.
II. What does this mean for me?
Do I need to do anything?
No, there’s nothing you need to do. Everything will happen automatically. If you have an old phone number or email address that you no longer have access to, it’s a good idea to update those before October 21 so that you don’t miss any vital information.
How will I log in?
You’ll log in exactly as before – using your Vend account from Blocket and Blocket x Qasa. Nothing about the login process changes. If you already have both a Qasa account and a Blocket x Qasa account, you’ll be able to choose which one to use – and you’ll continue to have access to both.
What happens to my listings, conversations, and rental agreements?
All your listings, conversations, settings, and rental agreements will automatically transfer to qasa.com. You’ll access them exactly as before, and there’s nothing you need to do for this to happen.
I have a signed rental agreement through Blocket x Qasa – what do I need to know?
The only change is that you’ll now access your rental agreements and invoices on qasa.com instead of bostad.blocket.se. You don’t need to remember the new address – after October 21, bostad.blocket.se will automatically redirect you to qasa.com.
How is my data handled – and what if I don’t want to continue using your service?
Your Blocket x Qasa account and personal data will be transferred to Qasa, which takes over Blocket’s terms and continues providing the same service. If you prefer not to continue using our services, you can contact our support info@qasa.se to have your account deleted.
Will the terms of use change?
No, the terms remain the same. Your account will automatically move to qasa.com, operated by Qasa AB. The user agreement will be transferred from Vend Marketplaces AB (Blocket) to Qasa AB, which will assume all the same obligations and responsibilities. Nothing else changes – your account, your listings, and the service you know remain exactly the same.
Will this cost anything?
No, this change comes at no additional cost. It will continue to be free for both private landlords and tenants to publish listings and profiles on Qasa. You can read more about our pricing here.
III. About Qasa moving forward
How does Qasa compare to Blocket Bostad?
The look and features are essentially the same. You’ll simply see Qasa’s logo and colors instead of Blocket’s. Otherwise, everything works just as it always has.
Where can I post other types of listings?
On both Blocket x Qasa and Qasa, you can only publish long-term rental listings. For questions about other housing categories (such as sales and apartment swaps), please refer to this article on Blocket.
